‘when did it arrive?’ I said - 100wc

‘when did it arrive?’ I said
Ava go get the mail I shout down the hallway at my little sister. She she got off the couch and
trudged out the front door giving me a icy stare as if to say I’m telling mum. She walks grumpily
back in holding some envelopes and junk mail despite the no junk mail sign. Anything for me I
ask, nope Ava says to her 16 year old big sister Isla with a mischievous yet almost unnoticeable
look on her face. I shrug and forget about it thinking it was just her being grumpy with me nothing to
worry about, anyway what harm would a little sister do to you anyway. Weeks went passed and I forgot
about it.

But a few weeks later a see an envelope addressed. Flipping is over I see that I had won tickets
to Bruno Mars but hadn’t noticed or been told ”when did it arrive?’ I said shocked.

The Final

I pull the crimson shirt on and smile nervously. I don’t want to let the team down, not while
wearing the shirt I’d always dreamed of playing in. Stepping onto the pitch, my heart
quickens, the stadium lights, misty air and cheering crowd gives me a sense of
accomplishment.
Five minutes to go. We need the winning goal. Running into space I find myself in trust
of the ball, trusted to take the shot, trusted in winning the final. Frantically I shoot. The
goalie jumps. The ball spins, clipping the edge of the goalies hand then into the goal.
A smile plastered across my face and grave looks plastered across the oppositions.

But how she get up there

Gripping so tight my fingers went white. I edged my way over to the dangling rope. One step at a
time. My feet slip and I grasp the pole hurriedly. Nervously I look down and am instantly reminded
of the fact that I'm 200m high. My sweaty toes curl over the edge trying to get as much grip as
possible.

The rope swings in reach and my clammy hands clench the rope tight. Breaths come sharp as the
rope I’m grasping gets lowed to the ground.

My feet touch the ground and relief rushes through me. “But how she get up there?” Murmurs a little
Boy, “Is she superwoman?”

Week 7

We are learning how to write analogy which is a bit complicated and confusing but it is fun and I am going a good understanding of what is is and how to write one. We have continued to read the refugee book and it is getting quite interesting but sad. In maths we have continues financial literacy and we are learning a lot in that topic. In science we continued acids, bases/alkalis and neutrals. A highlight of my week was opera but it was also very nerve racking.

Teacup In The Park

“That's something out of the ordinary” I think. It was a gigantic teacup with a massive hand print on
it. I crouch down to take a look. ‘Coming ready or not.” “That was a terrible spot.” It’s not my hiding
spot you moron look what I found aren’t you seeing the massive hand print on it.” “It’s not that
interesting someone's just put a giant cup there.” “Can’t you just use you imagination, it could be
Mrs Potts she might have fallen out of the palace’s window, a Giant could have dropped it, just let
your imagination run.”

100 Word Challenge - But What If I Was In Charge

‘Breaking News’ flashes across the screen. “Donald Trumps threatens to...” ‘What’s he done now’ I
think as I see Trump and Kim Jong Un standing in front of missiles like 2 little boys out of control.
‘But what if I was in charge’ are my exact thoughts, then we wouldn’t have a president that threatens
to build a wall between Mexico and USA then make them pay for it, or send missiles at North Korea.
Or a president who claimed he could “Stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shot somebody, and I
wouldn’t lose voters.” Just imagine if I was in charge.

… we seemed to be on the television… My heart raced and I had to stop myself nervously drumming my fingers on my legs. It wasn’t our fault ...
