100 wc - 29/11

… we seemed to be on the television…
My heart raced and I had to stop myself nervously drumming my fingers on my legs. It wasn’t our fault our country was war torn, nor was it our fault that we have no other choice but to escape. It wasn’t our fault that our escape option had to be illegal, so that's what we are doing.
That’s how we ended up locked in a windowless room. I couldn't help but worry it was my fault. Did I give it away. But now we seemed to be on TV supporting an article on refugees and feeling unsure of what will happen to us next.

15/11/18 - Bricks Gorilla Yellow Running Pretty
It was a stunning day. The sun was out streaming over the field and ponds. We walk across the path. Kids were running around happily pointy at the sleeping giants sprawled across the ground while some eat from the highest trees. Across the other side or the bridge a yoga class was on show as balancing on one leg with a strict theme of pink. Pretty colours danced from tree to tree in front of us. Yellow daisies were dotted along the ground and just around the wall made of bricks was a Gorilla sitting calmly next to the ‘hope you enjoyed your visit at the zoo’ sign.

100 WC 29/10/18 … because I said so…

“Mom!” She screeched down the up the stairs.
“No Natalie you are not going!” replied her mother firmly already knowing what she was going to ask.
“Ughh!” she cried “all of my friends are going.”
“Well, does it look like I am letting you go? she challenged, “no, so quit asking”
“But Mom, why not? Natalie persisted, “it is only Halloween around the neighborhood with my friends”
“Because I said so” she with finalty.
“But—” She whined.
“No” she said as she walk away.
But Natalie knew her mum couldn’t stop her if she didn’t know she was gone.

So that night she opened her window and climbed out. The street was packed with costumes ranging from monsters to pirates to princess. She slipped into the crowd and she knew there was nothing her mother could do about it now.
When Natalie got home her mother was waiting for her with the police panicked. Natalie was never the same after that night but she never said why.

100 word challenge - W1

19/10/18 - Bath  Fighter  Danced Orange  Clumsily

He clumsily climbed out of the orange cab and straightened his suit out. He stopped and took a look around to calm himself down, the trees danced and the birds splashed playfully in the bird bath without a care in the world. Then he become serious again. He wasn’t here to admire the city but to prove his wife innocent. This is the big moment he thought. “You can't stuff this up,” he said to himself. Taking a deep breath he whispered to himself “You are a fighter” then he knocked and opened the door. He walked confidently into the court room although he didn’t quite feel it.

25/06/18 - …it had been raining all morning…

Suddenly the soft patter I feel asleep to turned to a thunderous storm. Deafening rain drops fall heavily. Then with a
loud thunder clap an a fierce bolt of lightning that flashes that illuminated my curtains. Then suddenly the light
coming from mum and dad's bedroom light flickers off and the night light outside my baby brothers room flickers
off too. The house went dark. I ran quickly down to 2 year old Ollie’s room and faintly hear his wails. I lift him out
and see mum and dad running down the hallway. Ollie say’s in his attempt of a sentence “has it had been raining all
morning tonight?” We all laugh.

22/06/18 - Intruder

I could feel the movement in my house. I listened frozen with fear. I knew it wasn’t my mind tricking me this time
and I knew I wasn’t ready to be left home alone. I tried to hide but I couldn’t, I tried to escape but I couldn’t.
Instead I let out was a meek squeal. This only lead the intruder straight into my bedroom. I could feel their presence
in the dark room. She flicked the light on. “Hi sweetie are you alright” Yeah I’m fine mum” So I was right there was
someone in the house! But they weren’t an intruder. That’s when I realised the power fear had.

11/6/18 - …however, she couldn’t believe what she had done…

She travelled through time back to 1939 when the war was declared. Thanks to the power of future knowledge she knew exactly where Hitler was sitting at that exact moment. But she couldn’t do it, she couldn’t kill him. She didn’t know the repercussions, she knew it could save 6 million people. But she also knew Hitler's army also could have killed 6 million people, or tried to eliminate the entire american race accusing them as guilty of Hitlers death. So she travelled back. Know one believed her she hardly believed it herself but I do, I believe what she did was right and I know she wasn’t lying. She’s my twin I know she spoke the truth. However she couldn’t believe what she had done.

Bridge  Sprinkled  Pink  Daffodil  Huge

The sun descends like the scarlet leaves from the trees surrounding me. A pink tone covers the sky
as if an artist had dyed the sky with a single brush stroke. Golden sun rays stream through gaps in
the congested Golden Gate Bridge leaving a beautiful bold silhouette behind the blazing sunset.
The tranquil water glistened with a golden reflection. Bright daffodils were sprinkled vibrantly over
the huge rolling hills. Luscious grass sways calmly over infinite fields that roll into sunset. Boats
drift back and forth in a zephyr. I lie down blissfully and close my eyes enjoying the warm light
covering me.

In maths are starter today was difficult but I learnt that you shouldn't over complicate things and that actually gives you the answer to something and not just maths but group projects or other challenges, look at it in the the long run it won't really matter or something will be easy to sort out just down stress or over worry about something.

Species - 100wc

It’s going to be cold my colleague jeered.

I ignore him and jump into the misconstrued ocean with my wetsuit and scuba gear prepared to find knew species.

But as soon as I jump in I give 4 tugs on the rope signaling something’s exciting.

Furry, gills, feet, hands, circular, 3 half trunk noses, 2 bulgy eyes, oval mop like mouth, sunken in face giving it a innocent look and ears like the end of a trumpet.

I try processing what I was seeing, going through files in my mind trying to match up the species to anything I’d seen before.

‘when did it arrive?’ I said - 100wc

‘when did it arrive?’ I said
Ava go get the mail I shout down the hallway at my little sister. She she got off the couch and
trudged out the front door giving me a icy stare as if to say I’m telling mum. She walks grumpily
back in holding some envelopes and junk mail despite the no junk mail sign. Anything for me I
ask, nope Ava says to her 16 year old big sister Isla with a mischievous yet almost unnoticeable
look on her face. I shrug and forget about it thinking it was just her being grumpy with me nothing to
worry about, anyway what harm would a little sister do to you anyway. Weeks went passed and I forgot
about it.

But a few weeks later a see an envelope addressed. Flipping is over I see that I had won tickets
to Bruno Mars but hadn’t noticed or been told ”when did it arrive?’ I said shocked.

The Final

I pull the crimson shirt on and smile nervously. I don’t want to let the team down, not while
wearing the shirt I’d always dreamed of playing in. Stepping onto the pitch, my heart
quickens, the stadium lights, misty air and cheering crowd gives me a sense of
accomplishment.
Five minutes to go. We need the winning goal. Running into space I find myself in trust
of the ball, trusted to take the shot, trusted in winning the final. Frantically I shoot. The
goalie jumps. The ball spins, clipping the edge of the goalies hand then into the goal.
A smile plastered across my face and grave looks plastered across the oppositions.
